Eventually there was an accidental slip and people were caught — Sabine was questioned violently by police as a teenager, taken from her grandma and put up for adoption. She never got adopted (too 'old' and too quiet) but stayed on at the home and helped out there for a few years after turning 18, working for little pay, then fucked off. Started traveling.
